First of all, i'm new to this forum so i would like to say hi to everyone in this community.
Now, i have a custom skin (which i didn't make) for UT99 and i would like to edit the face of the skin but the problem is i don't know anything about modeling/skinning.
I've checked out a few tutorials so i got some programs but i couldn't import any of the ut files because of different file types i guess (or maybe the program was for UT 2k3,4).
So can anyone give me any advice on what programs do i need to edit skins for UT99 that are easiest to use for noobs like me?

Zeratul, you may use the Skin Maker. It's super easy, even for n00bs like you (and me!)

It creates it's own UTX and INT file ; And, if you want to, even the UMOD!

I dont know if there is an newer version of the S.Maker, but this version probably can help you out.

By the way, Skin Maker can skin custom models too.

I do have that program but as i see it only works with .skm files. But thanks anyway, if you did it then it can be done so i'll browse around for some tutorials.

Hey, you want to import UTX to PNG?

That's easy!

Open your UnrealED, go to the TEXTURE browser and open the package of the skin you want to modify. Now, inside the package, search for the desired texture, right-click on it and "import to PNG".

Then, open the PNG with Paint, Photoshop, Corel Draw or any image-editing software and import it with your Skinmaker.
