...and it was such a damn blast.

I finally convinced some buds of mine if I could install the INFILTRATION v2.8 mod on their computers. And they were quite pleased with the work you guys did. We must've played for hours on end. But unfortunately we had school in the morning, so 'war' had to stop at 1am.

Even though those damn bots (Malakai especially) ripped us into shreds, it was damn fun. Only thing is that there was many occasions where we would die double deaths...as in when one of us died, that person would die again as soon as he respawned. I don't know...magic bullets or something. Anyways...all and all...INFILTRATION is almost like a new game itself.

I can't wait for v3.0 to come out...hell...I'm eagerly waiting to see v2.8. My friends thinks INFILTRATION is bad-ass as well. One of the guys who was here last nite is a SWAT guy. He loves the AR-M16 and the PSG. Personally...my fave is the Silenced MP5. Those toys are fun. I'm sure I'll like the HK G11 as well...

Kudos to the boys behind INFILTRATION.
Ciao,
Nick2k

I've got cable, and I still prefer LAN over net play. Hell if net play was just as good as lan play I'd prefer the LAN.

Any more, when I play online, I feel like I'm playing bots (sometimes better then the UT bots, sometimes not). At a LAN party there's usualy more of a connection between you and your team mates and your opponents.

I remember years ago playing Doom and Duke Nukem 3d on the LAN at a friend of mine's office (he was the Network Administrator and had a set of keys)

we'd play from like noon to 8pm on a saturday and then go out to the bar and talk about the days play, sometimes I miss those simple times /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

lemme guess Johnny Boy, you have a cable connection, right? Well for us puny dial up users, LAN games give us pings from 20-80 tops where as internet games can give us anywhere from 200 to 1000 pings... What's more in LAN games you feel closer to the people you're killing and you can hear them curse you after you kill them /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

LAN is far better than internet matches.
Great evenings, nights, mornings and headaches with some friends, lots of pizza, great fun when you've just killed the guy sitting next to you...

heheh personally I try to be on the same team as the person next to me... It stops us from accusing each other of being CSB's that is we don't accuse of each other looking at the other's screens /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

hmmmm...you need these things :

1) several computers (i hope that you have these to play multiplayer /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

2) one network card for each computer (these cards usually are cheap)

3) network cable to connect them all

if you don't want to buy the cards , always could try serial connection (aaaaaaaaargh!!! , does this thing still exist?? /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif )

still no sig.. when i figure out one i like, this crap will go out /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

heheh, we call CSBs Super Screen Ghosters or SSGs. And generally if you are labeled such, u get a lot of probs from everybody who plays in the cafe.
