I'd rather not have to keep track of a stamina bar, but I understand your point about it being useful in certain situations. I think that the extra mobility it affords deathmatchers DOES make it very exciting... except when they just use it to run away from each other and shoot the ltg from across the map.
I'm all for some kind of system that adds an extra bit of mobility as long as the combat up-close remains just as important as the distant hitscan and the system doesn't overly complicate things.
