Did anyone see that article in The Times today (10th June) about how in the next Bond film, Bond is going to rescue the Prime Minister from the bad IRA with the help of some nice IRA. Apaarently this would attract the Americans who are 'sympathetic' to the IRA. He'd also talk to Gerry Adams. This is an attempt to 'modernise' Bond.
Doesn't that sound 5hit? For starters, it's our fu¢king film, so I don't see why we need to attract Americans when a) James Bond is always good anyway and b) James Bond has always been British. They also said that the IRA would probably have got rid of their guns by the time the film came out. Yeah, and my name's Plenty O'Toole. And I don't see why anyone would want to rescue Tony from the IRA anyway.
Anyone else got opinions on this?
And did you see Tony at the Woman's Institute speech? Man, that was great .

If anyone discovers what the Universe is for, and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarrely inexplicable.
