Games are not more important then life?
/me is flabbergasted

Anyway, it's true... i used to be a FireArms forum adict. Untill they got some reviews in a major magazine. All out of the sudden the forums and servers were swamped with utter idiots soggesting more ways to bunnyhop and akimbo m60's and such BS. And from what i understand that's what happened to cs as well, it has been the downfall of games like r6 (try finding a non 1337 name in their game rooms nowadays) and it will continue to do so to every other game.

Saying that INF will never be like that is wishfull thinking. The only thing we CAN do is shut em out, making a new invitation based forum.
Ofcourse this brings the "vet's VS n00bs" problem with it, (this is almost as bad as CS draftee's) but i'm sure something can be done to prevent that.

If you are totally desperate to stop the immature you could always put Adultcheck into INF somehow.
The only problems being that it would annoy the hell out of everyone and cut down the number of people and stuff. As a side effect most of the people playing would also be into porn....

Give me a day or two , I'll come up with a solution.Maybee.

Surely hacking Adultcheck would show that the person has some level of maturity?

Of course, I may be wrong.

What ??

quote:
I really doubt that...
I agree. I don't see any maturity to someone who click on start from a hacking software.

quote:
pr0n freaks only are horny and want free pr0n, I don't think we want them there.
????---????

What are you talking about ? There are definitely no link between the intelligence of the msg poster and his sexual desire !!!
So, according to you, if i watch a porn movie i'm not able to post an interesting message ?

If you think like that, i would like to hear your explanation of your opinion !

jeez man I did not think my little comment would put yo off so bad! O_O

prehaps I should explain.

I don't think a adult check it required. prehaps there shoudl be a "private" messageboard that is only allowed access by a few accounts ^_^

only problem is that the members must no show superiority over the other players, and it should not become so exclusive that there are only 5 members. like a "invite only" basis! ^_^

if 2.85 becomes popular the forum is the least of our worries

If 2.85 becomes popular then the S:N of this forum is the least of my worries. We'll get servers full of TKs and idiots.

When playing team-play games on the net that don't require a download the idiot masses just ruin it for me. Don't they want to play a fair game and feel satisfied for winning properly? What fun is there in killing your own teammates? What fun is there in being the other team and 'winning' when the other team is only fighting amonst themselves trying to kill the traitor? Why is it so hard to kick an individual who is obviously a bad influence?

I hope INF doesn't become so popular that the hacks will download it and ruin the servers for us with all their crap.

Bots may be stupid but at least they play to win!!!

In CS you can VERY easily run around and kill everyone in the map alone due to the way the game is. In INF stealth, positioning and teamwork is key more then CS. I also believe it will take more patience in INF to play and that turns many immature people off. Just my two cents worth.

I wouldnt't call it VERY easy to dominate a map in CS....i'd call it very easy to TRY. What are your CS stats? I'm sure you rule CS, right? Post a link to the TLQ link so we can all see......

Frankly, it's more difficult to TRY to run in and dominate in INF because of the stamina feature, and deathmatch-type play is just not going to happen. But it is NOT easy to run out and dominate in CS....you'll get your a$$ handed to you quickly, same as INF will. - P

Not if...

we don't let them! Come on, anyone who can put up with a 1-life server (BLAM! 10 minutes of waiting) is sure to be mature enough to behave on the message board...

Unless INF starts to be presented on servers with infinite respawn, but even then it's so easy to get killed just running across the street that you have to have patience - something most of those aforementioned 14-15 yr olds do not possess...

I hope. :p

'sides, the community seems to be very solid right now. I think most INF'ers wouldn't take kindly to l337 hax0r k1dd13z...

Indiana. Kill me please.
Does anyone remember TF for QuakeWorld (I still play it :p). There were almost no annoying idiots in that community, for one reason- it was too hard for idiots to setup. Then came TFC and you could do it in the graphical interface. It was swamped by morons. Inf should force players to write a specialized setup file to customize the game instead of using the easy to use gui. Then the idiots won't make it in.

not to be an a$$

i love infiltration and i would hate to be booted from the forums. I just turned 13 and i've loved infiltration since before 2.75. I also kinda resent the comments on 14 and 15 year olds not being mature enough. Seeing as i'm not their yet its kinda like a putdown. :(

By the time you notice me it will be all over.

Actually I am very team oriented in CS (gasps) so my score looks pretty poor hehe something like 15 10 at the end but all you have to do is pull out a awp and rule the map basically. I have seen it a millon times so I know it happen a lot. Maybe not in your exp. but in mine it is easy to do...well now that I think about it it isnt easy and you will die quick if the other team is working together but that rarely happens 8) lol

it's all too easy to associate age with maturity, and while the two generally go hand in hand it is the rule of thumb. However i've seen people in their mid/early 20's (or in thier 40's for that matter ) act like they weren't old enough to have pubic hair...

Case in point: The other day i poped into #infilitration for the first time. ( i usually stick to the forums, but i though what the heck maybe the team will be in there ) now i get in there, say my greets, and sit back and do some recon to get the atmosphere of the place.

Now he probably was just joking around but as i just mentioned above the only way you can try to determin what age a person is, is by there level of maturity and by paying attention to the details. As a result my first impression was that this person was pretty young... or at the very least pretty immature. In fact as i questioned him about it, a heated debate arose. Turns out this person was 23.

Which only goes to show you that when your in any public forum, be it *here* , irc, television, public speaking, or general socialising, You ARE being judged by what you say, and how you act.
