Help me choose one of these two monitors!

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I've got to decide between one of the two following monitors. I'll be doing mostly print design, but will also use it for video/video editing.

1. HP Compaq LA2405WG
2. HP 2711x

I have to order one of these two, so I'm stuck, but I'd love to hear your feedback on what you feel is the better one.

Thanks!

Thanks peeps. I guess I'm only really concerned about the resolution differences, the 24" is 1920x1200, the 27" is 1920x1080.

Will 1920x1080 look odd?

No, that's a normal widescreen resolution. 1920x1080 is essentially 1080p and 16:9, which is what almost all home movies are formatted for now. You should know that if you're getting into video editing :p

I'd personally go for the highest pixel density. 1920*1200 on a 24" screen is awesome. so much space ! if you want a bigger screen, try to get a higher resolution. also, 16:10 > 16:9.

of course, all this is my opinion.
