UbiSoft is readying the Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory multiplayer demo and has announced that it will be ready in the "near future", though only to Gamespy "premium" members for the first week. (Thanks, Shack)

Exactly BU is Unreal downloads without the BS - just as advertised :tup:sweeny said:if there was no file planet then people would be less apreciateive to the good sites such as beyond unreal (every action has an = and opposit reaction )
hal said:Oh, it's nothing new and it's not exclusive to this site. Just about every gaming site is opposed to exclusive demos, particularly those that are distributed only to paying customers. Demos are supposed to be a demonstration of your game - not bait for supporting pay-per-download (which is what premium membership is effectively).
I will admit that it's a bit hypocritical to see sites like Shack moan about it when they themselves offer a premium membership. Though I don't know of any exclusives they have ever offered.
If you remember a while back, as pointed out above, most of the major gaming news sites, including Blue's, Shack, 3DGamers, etc all wrote a letter to the publisher of COD stating that they would not host any files that were first offered as an exclusive to one particular site. Didn't take long for it to be made available to everyone.
