But it's not the kind of skill which requires years or decades of dedication and encompasses your whole lifestyle. Being a concert violinist, being an NBA all-star, writing like David Foster Wallace, these are skill areas that require a phenomenol amount of work and perseverence.
Perhaps SOME day, online games will have reached that level. And online gaming could become a real spectator sport that millions tune in to watch, with solid financial backing, recognizable star players (heh, maybe one of us), and professional dedication. But not UT, and probably not UT2 or UT3, either.
