Fibre Optic Broadband

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Getting 50 down through Time Warner for some ridiculous price, but of course it's Time Warner so whether I have a connection at all is sporadic. There are periods every few months where we'll get no data for what seems like half the day. Every few weeks we might experience speeds as low as 7 Mb/s.

Google Fibre is coming and I thank Zeus for that.

I can't remember how to adjust the size so meh. The speed shown is obviously not what I get. I am usually getting anywhere from 500Kb/s-800Kb/s depending on time of day. Of course you know my pain since you are on TWC as well. I also only pay $24.99/mo so I guess there is that also. The 2.5Mb/s I was getting on AT&T DSL felt so awesome. Oh well le sigh

Almost $50 a month for this shit. Yay for cable monopolies and zero competition.

Portable USB drive connection, no crappy 12-month contract, no fucking annoying "responsible use policy" (wich is just a fancy name to "after you download 15GB since this month, we'll block your download speed to 128KB/s until the end of the month, and you can't do anything about it, so just bend over and take it") which is fairly used by all the mobile phone companies in my country, unlimited downloads/uploads, and only 15 euros a month. Pretty sweet deal, if you ask me.

I'm pretty sure I can get 120+ Mbit out of this shit if the stupid Ethernet manages to enter Gigabit mode

When I lived with my mother, I had 40/40. Now I'm sitting on a 35/3 connection. The low upload bothers me a little, but it's okay. I'll be moving again soon probably, hoping I'll get a fiber optic connection, with a higher upload.
