do you type GG or is it bound?

Generally, I say good game if it's one that I enjoyed. For most games, whether won or lost, this is true.

The usual situations in which I don't say it are ones in which I entered the game late, or things were so bad (either teams were completely off balanced, or lots of team killers or whatnot) that I would just like to ignore the game and hope the next one's better.

Call me crazy but going as far as binding a key to type out "GG" is a bit much. :shrug:

I think it it's a huge difference between DM and CTF when it comes to the need to be a good sport by typing "gg".
In DM I do it almost always "gg" unless the server was packed with campers or wathever else that makes me mad.
When it comes to FFA CTF I agree with Cleaner 100%

BTW: If you keybind a two-letter word your typing must be REALLY slow.

But does it mean anything different when you have it bound rather then when you just type it out? All signs point to no. As long as the idea is there, then there's nothing really wrong with binding it.

Anyhoo, how many of you go as far as congratulating players? (on both teams), because that is the ultimate nice. It gives me a warm feeling (although that might not be a good thing)

The only time I won't use a GG is when I join late or I feel the game was won through questionable tactics(basically bad attitude and excessive spamming).

I've played matches where the oppenent felt the need to insult me after I got a kill instead of a simple 'n1' or other compliment. Some people just high opinions of themselves and hate to be reminded that not everyone is an easy kill...

If I win a match I'll always give a gg though. Chances are it was a close match and everyone played well.

The sad ones are the guys that insult the winner even if they played a great game.

i type "gg". i've bound a key for "thx" and "Nice one! " tho.

as for when to say 'gg', if i don't have a good game (for whatever reason) i don't type 'gg'. that doesn't mean i'm blaming this one someone else. but if i didn't enjoy that particular game i don't see why i should type "gg". mind you, i can get beat up very badly and still enjoy a match, it all depends on the situation. personal performance does not equal game enjoyment.

When i first saw it after a match, the players who said so immediately left(after smacking up everyone else)
When I leave i say bye bye with "gg"

Without this post i would have taken another year to find out

Hehe, U might've taken some heat then, when typing "gg" after a really crappy game.

I type gg, don't have it as a bind. I only type it when I think it was a gg.
