Demorec bug

Normally a demorec (UT video file) is recorded from the view of a player actively engaging in combat. However, NTKB created one from the Spectator team.

Normally when playing a demorec, you are in the spectator team and are free to move around as you wish.

However, since it was recorded in spec mode, your view and position are fixed onto the spectator. Fire, altfire, and F5 do not fix this.

Any ideas?

nevermind, i fixed it with the ?3rdperson suffix.

However, i have found another bug:

Weapon firing sounds do not play.

Was it for both the EAS match AND the TDM? Cause I got an error after I demorec stop on the EAS one, namely the game crashed upon stoppage and I got a GPF.

For both EAS and TDM demorecs, the sound is buggy.

Helicopters are loud, footsteps thump, smoke grenades crackle (and get blown away by the wind ONLY in demorec), but guns are silent.

Spooky and his team made awesome movies. My favorite was the one with the "shakycam" effect that made it look like a real videoman was on scene to record the battle. I tried turning my Demorecs into movies but Fraps won't work on my PC setup. It keeps tearing the image every so often. So sad... I have all the music and stuff ready too. Good luck with your demorec plans! You could make the first 2.9 feature since the "Private Pyle" commercial by SentryStudios.
