Bios is not installed??

I just recently finished reformatting my computer and have gone throught the tedious task of installing every damn thing i had before, but something new has popped up. When the system is starting up i get a screen that states

Scanning for IDE drives.........
The bios is not installed

The system then proceeds to boot up as it normally would. Anyone know a solution for this because i can access the bios just fine.

Sounds like an ATA controller with it's own BIOS that doesn't detect any drives it should handle and therefore doesn't install it.

Ahhh yeah after looking at it more closely it does speak of a controller of some sort. Guess its something that i just have to put up with. Thanks for your help

Do have any IDE addon cards on installed on your computer some of them have their own sub-BIOS that is called after the primary BIOS.

Had me worried then, thought wtf no bios installed ?!?!?!?!?! :s

bios isn't something that should uninstall, try flashing a new version of the bios

If you don`t use them, dissable the SATA and RAID options in the BIOS, it`ll skip that screen and speed up boot time.
