I never thought I'd run into such a huge headache when it comes to determining which case is the best bang for the buck. To match with the red/black theme that I'm going for, I'm thinking of one of these three:

NZXT Phantom 630 (Either the Gunmetal Gray or Matte Black versions)
CM Storm Trooper
or
CM HAF 932 Advanced

Certainly quite the headache trying to think of which of these three would have the best airflow, and best bang for the buck features out of these. If I wind up going with the NZXT Phantom 630, I might have to consider replacing those white fans with Red LED fans of sorts, but who knows?

Either of the cooler master cases beat that NZXT hands down. The quality is just on a totally different level.
I have the CM HAF 932 Advanced and it is an amazing case, the only thing I would trade it for to date is the storm trooper. For that reason alone you can get the CM HAF 932 Advanced much cheaper then the storm trooper by buying used. If you got no issues spending the money, buy the Storm Trooper.

I have a NZXT Phantom currently as I do like the looks it has. Also for me the CM cases are very expensive in comparison.

As Elmur said, it comes down to budget. I would love to fork out £150 for a case but can't justify it.

I hope you don't think I was bashing the NZXT Phantom line. They are good cases. My wife has a white phantom 410 with the blue back-lighting.

I got my HAF 932 Advanced used for $45 (or right around there) and would have to be a hell of a lot richer to justify buying one retail. So yeah, I am right there with you on the price.

Red and Black you say?

I dunno, I know that CM cases are usually pricier, but it seems that Newegg seems to be selling the Storm Trooper (the windowed version) for around the same price as the Phantom 630:

Yeah I noticed that the storm trooper prices are quite a bit lower then they used to be while looking at various red and black cases. Also used HAF 932's on places like ebay are generally around the same price now also...

I'm in the UK, the NZXT is around £75-£100 and the storm trooper is around the £150 mark.

At least the Trooper is low, now it seems that Newegg's been selling the Stryker (the white version of the Trooper) for MSRP again.

Okay everyone... After everything that I saw, I finally decided on the Storm Trooper. Seems like it turned out to be the best bang for the buck, and I also ordered it along with a 850W EVGA G2 PSU (which seemed like it went back on sale). All in all, great duo.

Wedgebob, do yourself a favor and check out CaseLabs cases. If you purchase one you will Never go back. Lian li, corsair, NZXT, they'll all seem like cheap taiwanese plastic/aluminum cases once you get your hands on a California-fabricated CaseLabs, made to spec when you order it.

The only downside to them is their price- I spent over $700 configuring my SMA8 for watercooling, but I spared no expense when I built my x99 platform.
