Air Buccaneers Revival

A kind reader tipped us off to a brief revival of AirBuccaneers thanks to Rock, Paper, Shotgun and PC Gamer UK. Wednesday night (too late, sorry!) and Saturday night, you can vie for a spot on a server they've set up to run the airborne swashbuckling UT2004 modification.

Interesting... could never really get into that mod though. Usually i always got my ass kicked and couldnt see why it was fun in the first place.

Mod was fun as hell if you got a crew to man your ship.

This was always one of the more original mods for UT2K4 and did generate a bit of community mapping.

Will installing this overwrite UT 2004 or anything like that or will it work as usual with me just joining the Air Bucaneers server?

While you can probably just connect to the server, I wouldn't reccomend it. Installing it should put its files in a seperate folder from the main game files and use the -mod switch .

Good news everyone! I have successfully uploaded and launched ABu on my server!

It works great!

I was thinking of setting up a day were I would run ABu the whole day. Maybe once a week how dose that sound to you guys?

Any suggestions?
