A fast release of patch #2 is strongly recommened!

First, I´d like to thank the Infiltration for the hard and long work they´ve invested in 2.85. It instantly became my favorite UT realism mod, even though I knew Infiltration since 2.75. I am also happy that the team seems to listen to their fans regarding bugs and cheats (leaning problem etc.).

But please, try to deliver a patch next time that doesn´t create any new bugs. The current patch kills the online experience. I just played a match on Lab[4]Ace here in Germany and the round end bug ruined the playing experience totally. If this horrible bug isn´t fixed in a short time, the reputation of Infiltration will be seriously damaged.

I agree the online experience of INF has been destroyed by this patch, but rushing out another is not the answer.

The next patch needs to be tested, tested and tested again before release, to avoid the sort of fiasco I just encountered while trying to play INF online.

Rushing it out may be the only answer. I have been looking for games all day. Some servers have the patch, some are waiting for a new release. Most servers have ZERO people playing. I just hope the new people don't loose interest before a fix can be made.

This is an important time in Infiltration's history. There are more new players coming in everyday and I think it is very important to get a fix for these problems as soon as possible before the new, potential fan base dies out due to small, but irritating bugs.

So go play on one of those. It would be best if the INF team took their time with all future releases, this one smells of being rushed. They're quite capable of producing quality work, as long as they have enough time

I know it is frustrating that the patch introduced some more bugs while fixing others , to be honest though, I'm a little surprised its not worse

Speaking as a programmer I can assure u that being overworked (and understaffed) is depressing and demoralizing. The more overworked u are the more bugs creep into the code. More often than not fixing those bugs that were introduced while being overworked lead to more bugs, cause u fix em while still being overworked .Viscious Circle!

If u think u feel bad about bugs ,the development teams usually feels 10x times as bad

The smartest thing the INF team did was to delay the release of 2.85 until they did. I'm sure they felt the patch was ready to roll , and for the most part it IS. I'm still amazed at all the hard high quality work that has gone into this MOD.
Now if bill gates would drop a few million their way ...

On a few servers now, the majority of ppl have been refrainin from exploiting the lean bug and it has gone very well. I'm very impressed at how honorable most players are!

Next time u r in a match , try saying:

" Hey guys, I'm choosing no to exploit the lean bug as are many others playing. Just thought ,I'd let everyone know; feel free to do as u wish though."

The MUF guys do this on their servers and it works surprisingly well !( u may have to repeat it a few times cause many ppl don't have the chance to read all the messages that scroll by quickly ). We were doing it on the server last night and had a great time (even though i got smacked around like a rag doll!

There is some mysterious information in the unreal browser window about a patch v 2.85.3 ???? well, looks like the infiltration once again listened to the voice of their fans - i just hope that this time the patch fixes all glitches that have been found.

I too have just been on lab4ce and found the online experience ruined by this end round bug!!!! It takes ages to convince/explain tp people to vote end round, and then if anyone joins during countdown after vote, the vote is completely anulled. A lot of people are saying they are gona leave INF online until this is fixed. Inf is awesome but this patch has been rushed out.

People, give the INF-Team a break, and just vote\end round, for christ's sake. It's not that hard, and works quite well on the servers I have played on so far. Just spam it if you have to (tab-uparrow) to get enough people to vote to endround.

And it's really not that different to peak around a corner without leaning. Just pop halfway out for a quick look, then pop back. Same basic strategy, just a little less cover.

Ocelot: This is not about giving them a break. This is about reporting bugs that are causing problems in a constructive matter. I am sure they would rather hear the truth about what is buggy vs hearing "I love your mod, you guys rock". Some of you guys are so afraid of being flamed that you get all polliticaly correct in hopes of scoring some worthless points with some of the forum regulars. If you are having problems, now is the time to report them. Not when 3.0 is released. I may be wrong, but this is still considered a beta.

Well, folks, here is no place for any kind of flame wars, so don´t even try it. I just felt responsible to report the Inf Team in what a horrible way the "patch" makes the online experience worse than before. The "endround"-bug is a annoying bug, and try to conveince everybody in a 24-player server to vote for "endround", espicially when the votecounter is reseted evertime somebody leaves or joins the game. You´ll quickly understand that this bug IS a major decreasement of online fun.

If you consider me an "expert", so beit. I am not trashing the awesome job the team did. Did I? You are correct in saying that I did not pay or contribute to the development. I do, however, have a deep love for this mod and feel it is OUR responsibility to "bring to light" bugs that may turn off new Infiltration players so that they may be fixed. I want this community and Mod(TC) to be the best out there. Not just another mod floating out on the Internet.
