rtnp in ut

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Has anyone heard anything further about this: Unreal: Return to Na Pali Co-op

The last update on their site was October 25th:

"Sorry for not updating this site for so long! We have been busy porting Unreal: Return to Napali COOP to Unreal Tournament! We are 50% done of roughly porting the maps to UT! Soon, we will begin the first beta testing phase!"

Their forums don't have anything addressing the project, either. Are they working on it and just keeping real quiet or has it been abandoned? I'd love to see it finished, myself. :)

I did succesfully get RTNP to work in UT. You see, I'm on mac and the powers that be decided we weren't worth the time for a mission pack:( . So back when the above links were working, I followed all the directions-- 4 to 5 times!! -- I had to do it on a friends PC of course (no level editor for mac either  ).

OK here's what's wierd: When I installed UT on this PC it refused to work with D3D (Open GL worked, but was unplayable) so I was stuck in software rendering. That is, until I did the RTNP conversion. Suddenly I was able to use D3D with no problem. Then I installed Lagacy and it all got borked again. But It did work, though I never managed to port all the files to my mac.

I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend you try this unless you are very comfortable with Ued and don't mind the risk of trashing your UT install.
It is also VERY TIMECONSUMING AND THERE ARE ERRORS that I had to improvise with (i.e. I commented the troublesome lines out). I got it to work perfectly ONCE but never figured out exactly how I did it because I could not repeat the process.

I would really like to get that modified UPak though, please put a link.:) :(

i recieved an email from geocities, here is some part of it

Dear GeoCities Member,

Congratulations, http://www.geocities.com/engr_atifriaz seems to
be very popular and has been receiving a large amount of traffic.
Our records indicate that you're using more than the allotted amount
of data transfer we provide for a free web site, which is 3 gigabytes
per month (measured on an hourly basis). That means that during the
past few days we had to temporarily turn your site off to keep the
bandwidth within this limit.

What can I do?

Keep in mind that large files such as images and multimedia files
can effect your data transfer greatly. A single web page that
contains 200,000 bytes of images will only be able to be viewed
about 20-25 times an hour. By keeping your file sizes and page
sizes as small as possible, you can maximize the amount of page views
your site can produce.

You can also upgrade your site to one of our new premium services,
GeoCities Pro or GeoCities Webmaster. These packages allow for 10 and
20 gigabytes of data transfer per month, and also give you the option of
purchasing unlimited data transfer so your site will always be accessible.
These packages also enable you to run an ad-free site at your own
domain name (for example, www.engr_atifriaz.com) AND get matching email
accounts at that domain (like you@engr_atifriaz.com).

so if anyone have problem dowloading RTNP & coopbot, be patient
