I'd love to RAR it (the team uses nothing but RAR files since it's so much better than ZIP), but 90% of the general public only use Zips, and I'm not about to set out on a WinRAR pinping rampage so people can use UnWheel ;).

I'm guessing making a rar file for all of us with winrar is out of the question. Or even 7zip. that much better than either winrar or winzip.
I'm downloading now anyway....
me hopes its as good as it looks.....

  ;)
I was on ut2004://24.252.39.133:7777 earlier today, but now the connection fails.it says 2/6 so I know it's active... any ideas? :( :(
are the other two servers up? they don't show up in my game browser, and when I try your hyper link on the home page, my cable mode shows activity, but the game never starts (UT launches but never connects to the second 2 servers).

I would be happy with anything above my current connection. Right now, I'm downloading at ... 2.5 Kbps ... so in about 42 hours, I will have it.

Have pitty on those who still use Dial-Up....

It would be nice if it was smaller (305MB isn't something I can just download in an instant) but guess I'll just have to leave the PC on. It would be nice for future releases (if any) that you could spilt up large zip files like these (ex: 20-50MB sections). Makes it a bit easier on the connection.

Anyway, enough of me complaining =D. Glad to see all the wonderful changes. This looks way over the top than the previous version. New vehicles, new maps, new everything, if only the racing AI was better, then I could race offline =).

Well, I'll be around...eventually.

(Edit, just updating the time and download speed

I feel for you being stuck on a 56k :( I'm on a 4meg cable. Unzipped it weighs in at 1.2 gigs.
After reading your post I got to thinking (yeah, it scares me too when that happens LOL), it might be a good idea for the UW team to make it avalable through BitTorrent. That way everyone should be able to d/l it faster. I use it to d/l Linux ISO's in under 20 minutes, and they're about 700 megabytes.
I'll give you a heads-up on the download. It's worth it, but you almost have to learn to drive the cars all over again ;)

Oh well, enought chatting, I'm going to get my race on :p hope to see you there soon

Yeah, if anyone can BitTorrent the install EXE, or even the zip, that would be really helpful for me and other people as well.

My current download of it failed, so guess it will be a bit longer for me, lol. I really need to get broadband =D
