Nice thread title, but this mutator just disables FireRate bug.

Its installed like any other mutator. It is named "DefaultGame" to hide what it exactly does.

Get it here: http://www.mif.vu.lt/~near3027/DefaultGame03.zip

/EDIT: And it is only for server admins, i mean players will download it automatically when connecting.

Ive played XMP on and off since a month after it was realeased. This is my first post comming out of the woodworks. I cant play as much as id like to with my crappy dial up connection, I will be getting dsl soon, thats not the point. Anyway Ive been watching the forums allot lately what with UTXMP on the way and U2XMP and its sloooow death with people getting sick of cheaters and whatnot. Seeing this mutator makes me happy, perhaps its a start of more anti-cheat programs to come out, so even when people play UTXMP there will be some hardcore fans that just want to play good ol U2XMP and having anti cheat programs up will make that even more possible, well at least in my opinion, please correct me if im wrong.

It works too! Every Admin should PLEASE get this. Because alot of you have your rates set to .9 to try and slip underneath the radar. Hah, asshats. I asked if this could be released to server admin's privately through email in order to catch you pieces of crap, but no dice :/

Oh well, at least a bunch of people are going to be "all of a sudden" not so good no mo'z.

Yes, but does it only protect against that specific exploit or that whole family of exploits?....

AFAIK, this script checks the refire rate through a list of standard fire rates. If a violation is made, a nice line appears, informing the rest of the cheater. It is however, not a "turret-bug-wallhole-aimbot-raptorjack-togglebehindview-exploit-fix".

Oh, NBK, how are the measurements done? Locally or through the server (lag issues, et al).

Nice job :)

First, lemme start by saying I appreaciate the effort.

I'd like to request that the alarm would either be echoed in server console or (preferable) noted in the ucc.log file. A new logfile containing a list of people caught hacking (name/date/time/ip) would be righteous. Another nice feature would be to change the name of the mutator in Webadmin. It was a bit confusing at first.

Also, it seems to cause peoples connection to fail while switching maps. Can reconnect after a minute or so, making it not THAT big of a deal.

Finally, again, the effort is very much appreciated.

Player informs server that he is cheating, server sends messages to everyone.

Make sure you run BuildMD5.bat after adding new packages to XMP ;)

NRK: You should put that in the readme

teh Intarweb, duh
It definitely works, but holy lag issues, Batman. Also, after every map, everyone would get "Connection Failed". I think there is a fix for that (running BuildMD5), but the lag issues persist.

Locky...

You have touched on something that I am suspicious of on my computer. LONG AGO.... I ran a BuildMD5.BAT and it Killed my installation of XMP... (Guess I had a bad map). I since re-installed the game using the "crack" :p This was the only option I had at the time because I was a beta tester and did no longer have my original download and user-key etc...

So... After I installed my "crack" copy... I have since downloaded MANY map packs.. and NOT a SINGLE time have I run a BuildMD5.bat.....

Can this be what has been KILLING my machine performance? I have fairly "great" hardware... but get a blinding 30fps on a fantastic day....

Granted, I have only got a 1.4Ghz processor, but I have 1Gb Pc333 Ram and a Radeon X800pro (256Mb) vid card. So now.... I may still die a lot from poor frames, but it LOOKS so f'n good....

Can the BuildMD5.bat... not being run.... affect the game play? Do I have hope in this line of pursuit to improve my gameplay? If not... what the heck does the dern Md5.bat thang do?

PLEASE somebody help me put this issue to rest in my mind lol. (Should I run the Md5 thing?).

When I have d/l map packs.. I have just unzipped em... and manually dropped the files into the appropriate folders... (I still have to d/l them later tho lol.. is THAT what md5 prevents?).
