Mutator Idea: Default weapon swap

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. I know Crowze solved the 'lack of loadout slots syndrom' already.

Still I see some difficulties since players will have to adapt their loadouts to all possible server configuration (assuming admins will stick to different custom weaponslists for their servers)

Maybe something like this could work easier:

A mutator would check for every custom weapon if it is available (serversided) at spawn.

Relying on a configuration-ini (which defines a replacement for any custom item) it would swap any non available weapon into a default replacement (including ammo of course).

I.e. Whenever the M4 is unavailable you would start with the SIG and with the same amount of clips instead.

This way we were prepared for any possible server setup without a lot of hassle and it would deal i.e. with yurch custom nades as well.

But maybe I'm completely wrong and all the servers will run all the new weapons :)
