Cheat Protection?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Yes.

First, there's no reason to assume utxmp will be any good. We don't have a reason not to trust Free M, and we hope they do a bang up job, but we don't have any reason to trust them either. Second, even if utxmp is good, that doesn't mean us peeps won't keep playing the original.

So, less talk more coding.

TIA

ut2k4 = cd-key bans = smacktards need to pay another 40 bucks = no more smacktards

it's quite easy to find new cd-keys by using the magical thing called google
of course there are old ones in there but also new ones that work.
Only thing that'll ever help is direct ip or even worse isp ban.

as long as there are girls, they will cheat on there boyfriends secretly, so cheat protection is utterly useless.

Heh, I don't know how many of you really know how many hacks there are for 2K4 but there's literally dozens.. and to this very day they are still reporting that Anti-CC for 2K4 stops like, maybe 2-3 that don't get updated anymore. Helios and the Elf bots are constantly upgraded so they stay ahead of the Anti-CC and people cheat their asses off.

Make a U2XMP anti cheat, because UTXMP will have a gigantic influx of cheaters along with any game that ever even gets remotely popular. ****ing bastards.

Cheats are very hard to stop. You should just implement that key-number generator and banning system I said something about a few months ago.

Google and about 5 seconds of your time will prove that cheats exist for XMP.
I would be all for cheat protection for this game because it is not nearly as popular as the "other" games are and unless some moron is on a mission to destroy XMP with hacks and constant updates to hacks then I think any protection would be a welcome addition even if it is only updated once a month.

lol alot of good that will do

Cd keys are made when the game is distributed out to the shops and registed on the master server so only games brought from shops will work.

key gens and google will not work online

Also only one person can be online with the same cd key at one time

Actually if you used google to look up a cheat for a game and something besides megagames came up you got lucky. Most of the cheats for games are trojans or spyware or some other kind of crap these days that google returns. And in fact it's actually very hard to find an XMP bot, because nobody has publically released one yet. They exist of course as we all know, but only if the user programmed it himself.. for himself. If you've played FPS games longer than just XMP you'd know that cheaters are people who code their own bots and never under any circumstances release them, so it's harder for anti-cheats to pick up on them, and harder for people to know they are actually cheating. LAMERS are people who download the popular bots which get caught by anti cheats and then they get banned and blah blah blah we all know that story. Usually at least 1 in 10 of every top gamer in any certain community cheats because he programmed his own bot. If you think my statistics wrong you haven't played FPS for jack and so obviously your opinion doesn't count.. not even bringing into fact that my opinon > yours anyways. I kid. But seriously.. those statistics if not true, are DAMN NEAR true.

I've registered a forum name on ***** and watched the forums for months now waiting to see if someone released a public XMP bot and guess what, no dice. People have even responded to "omg wtf plz make me teh xmp bot plz k thx u" threads with saying they'd PayPal money to whomever made them an XMP bot. That's how jacked some of you f-tards in the community are.. because I know I'm not the only one with an account on there from this community. (PS: When asking for a bot on a messageboard, saying you'd pay the guy, and then putting your email address in the message, try using a different email address than what you registered to this forum with.. douchebags. I know at least 2 of you who have been begging for a cheat on those forums for months now  ) Anyways, people are clamouring for one.. and the response from the **** admins and mods were that the community is dying and it's a dead game "so they don't see any harm in it" If I were you, I'd expect a publically released XMP bot to bring this game to new levels of suck in no time.

Make the anti cheat if you know how.
