[Mutator] SecondWind - Mk23 LAM Switch

Description: Replaces LAM cycle from original MK23 with a LAM On/Off switch.

The original Mk23 LAM cycles from None to Laser to Flashlight when the ActivateAttachment key is pressed. The inability to turn the laser on and off without activating the Flashlight and revealing your location was, in my opinion, a negative.

This mod only changes the way the LAM selector is handled. Now the user can select which LAM device they wish, and activate or deactivate it with the WeaponMode key. The currently selected mode will appear under the weapon as "LASER" or "FLASH" if a LAM is equipped.

To switch between Laser or Flashlight: Press the ActivateAttachment key.

To turn device On or Off: Press the WeaponMode key. (The key that cycles between Auto - Burst - Semi.)

Installation: Place the SecondWind.u and SecondWind.int files in your UnrealTournament/System directory. Select "SecondWind - Mk23 LAM Switch" in your INF mutators.

Please give it a go and reply here if you run into any unforseen circumstances.

Just tried it on a local dedicated server (if that makes any sense), and when I switch to the weapon I don't see it at all nor see the HUD icon for it. I'll have a look tomorrow, but I'd imagine it's either my server messed up or something's wrong with your replication.

@ Crowze : You're probably right on the account that it seems 'odd' on a dedicated server. I loaded up a Dedicated Server with SecondWind in the ServerPackages and it worked. But there are problems... I don't know if my DedicatedServer settings are messed up or what, since I have no experience as a server admin.

So far, the issues that occur ONLINE are:
No LAM mode text - But the mutator still works.

I'm going to try and test/tweak some more since I did not expect Dedicated servers to run mutators differently than Netplay mode. Obviously, there are some discrepancies. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks Crowze. If you could help me get that to work, it would speed up my learning process. (Not to mention make it much better for Online play)

That's unusual. You downloaded and placed the .u and .int into your UT/System folder? You loaded the mutator in your Mutators list? You're using a Mk23 Socom with LAM attachment? Should work. If you did all that and you don't notice the LAM selection modes can now be independantly switched on and off with Text informing you of the current mode, then please reply with what you DO notice.

Hush hush...

It's very fun offline, especially the version I have with the custom skin and large muzzle flash (based on photos). Hey Shan, put my LAM muty up on CT servers! It works and there's no harm done!

Because the project started out as a Stamina mutator :) Got sidetracked and never changed the package name. I like the name though... It just doesn't apply to the LAM or DE mod at the moment. Should I give them their own packages? SWMK23Lam.u & SWDE50.u?
