New ReportDirection release: v1.20

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

As the title so obviously states: ReportDirection 1.20 is out for grabs. Either here or here.

I'll stick to posting RD updates in this thread from now on, rather than using any old UTCompass or INFGPS ones.

New stuff: (Or just read the documentation already!)
  • The tag %o is used to toggle old 8-way direction names.
  • The tag %l will now produce your heading as a clock direction. North is 12 o' clock, South is 6 o' clock and so on.
  • Some abuse prevention stuff.

About the '%o' tag:
This tag will cause any subsequent direction tags to use old 8-way headings. I.e. it must be placed before the direction tag you want to use old heading names. Like this: "mutate direction Incoming! From the %o%c!" which will become (if we assume the user is facing 20 degrees) "Incoming! From the north!"

The '%o' doesn't have to be directly in front of the replacement tags it controls. It can occur anywhere in the message, and like sound tags it won't generate any text by itself. You can also combine old and new headings in the same message since it is a toggle rather than a switch. I.e: "mutate direction Incoming! %oFrom the %c! %o(%A)" will (if we still assume a heading of 20 degrees) produce "Incoming! From the north! (NNE)"

I hope that is somewhat less bewildering than what I think it sounds like.

Is there a possibility to say where you are to a person you are facing?

Like: "Olethros, I'm 10 meters Souh West of you"

Could be usefull when someone is covering a point and wants to know where his backup is.
