Beer Camp Time!

Well Sierra Nevada released their Beer Camp 12 pack, which is a 4 beer variety pack. Here's what I thought of them!

*I drank them in this order on purpose. Lighter to heavier was a good idea*

California Common 8.5/10

I wasn't expecting much from this beer after I read the description while I was at the Brewery. I passed it up for the beers in my last post, like the Maple Red Eh'l. This beer caught me off guard though. Very tasty indeed. Would go great with some back yard BBQ. It feels like a lighter Pale Ale, but not quite light as a Lager.

Weisenboch 6.5/10

I really don't care for Hefeweizen, so this one didn't really do it for me. I do give it props for having a hint of Banana in the taste.

Juniper Black Ale 9/10

My first word after I took my first drink of this beer were "Holy F'ing Sh*t!" This beer tastes like a stout, but with stronger hops. A mixture that has the best of both worlds. Loved it!

Double IPA 8.5/10
[SCREENSHOT]http://i.imgur.com/g83Hj.jpg[/SCREENSHOT]

This is the same Double IPA from my last post, but in a bottle rather than on tap. I dare to say that I enjoyed the bottled form better... but just 0.5 more. Still an amazing beer.

And now for something you won't find unless you're in Chico,Ca.

Sierra Nevada Old Chico Crystal Wheat
7/10

This, like the California Common, I didn't have high hopes for. I've had SN's regular Crystal Wheat a few years ago, and I didn't care for it then. However, this has less of a Lager feel to it, unlike normal Crystal Wheat.
This is another great warm weather time beer. Goes great with pizza!

Sierra Nevada is releasing a beer today at 4pm called Pinkfoot, to support the fight against breast cancer. I happen to get off work at 4, and today happens to be payday. We shall see how this beer is. Its on tap only at the brewery.

Here is the Pinkfoot Plisner with Pomegranate Juice. Sierra Nevada only made one Cask of this brew.

6.5/10

For what it was, it was good. Just not my style

And as a recommendation from a buddy of mine, i picked up some Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA

I give it a 10/10. The best IPA I've ever had. Was very much worth the 10.99 i payed for a 4 pack.

Lots of Sierra Nevada Lovers here. Anyone remember their ESB beer? It was my favorite by them. I miss it.

last beer I had was a Stone Brewery Subliminally Self Righteous Ale. Delicious, I'd give it an 8 on my beer scale. :)

No complaints about the glissade, just wish they hadn't Replaced the ESB with it, but rather had it as a different seasonal or a 2nd seasonal.

Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar

10/10 - Probably the best beer I've ever tasted. I wouldn't even call it beer, more like nectar of the gods. I'd drink this like water if it weren't for alcohol poisoning.

Because of this post I had to try it and you weren't shitting.
This is one of the most surprising, mouth melting beers I've had in a long time.
It's addicting - you just want to have moa!

I'm having a Ayinger right now. Excellent Weissbier.
