is there anyway to turn off the opening movie that plays when you first load the game? It would probly load the game way faster. can you turn it off from one of the .ini files?

Yes, it is possible. I don't have the exact details with me, but if you look around in UnrealTournament.ini, you'll find a line that sets the introductory map (CityIntro.unr, or something like that).

open up your UnrealTournament.ini file which is located in your UnrealTournament\System folder. Six lines down is the entry LocalMap=CityIntro.unr. Change it to read: LocalMap=UT-Logo-Map.unr
There have been 2 conversions of it so far... one is a DM Map and one is a CTF map. You can get them at Nali City. I think it's called CityIntro.
