I did that test once with the demo version and couldnt figure out how to get it to work.

it kept running in 1024x720 and it ran real slow and failed most of the time. :D

i'm not laughing, i started out with a cel II 566@850 and a Matrox G-400
my 2001 score was 900 :(
i think you're doing nice compared to that

btw. what will be your new cpu ????

hehe, that's exactly the processor I'm running now, really shows the difference your vidcard makes on these tests.

i've been thinking about that cpu (100 mhz, slot 1), but i could get a 850 sooner and cheaper :D
i'm testing it now, running 952 (no crashes yet)

btw Clayeth, the cel II rox
i had mine running @952 , but windooos didn't like that
bsod's , heat problems and other cr@p
852 no probs

900 points more with a Geforce,sure makes the difference here :)

RAM 32MB EDO, 2x 16MB and can´t install more because it makes no difference or my MB doesn´t support more.

:p Can´t run since it needs 128MB and I can´t install 128MB.

I ran a thing called GLexcess and got 0fps or 1 frame each 3 minutes.

A friend of mine put an Alpha PEP66 with a delta fan, and a blowhole with a 80mm fan, and had his 566 stable at just over 1ghz! I can run mine at 944 stable, but the temp readings are a little scary. I'll probably bump mine up around 900 if I really need the speed. Planning on building a brand new AMD system at the beginning of next sumemer :)

i had mine running at 952 (1.85 volt) golden orb cooler, windoos ran stable it crashed during 3d gaming (heat !!!)
i 've been thinking about building a new system, AMD is a serious option here

That program is aimed at people with ridiculously over-the-top powerful systems. It kinda seemed to me to be some sort of machismo test for the ultra tech geeks. Not many people have systems that'll get decent FPS's in the 2001 incarnation.

512Mb DDR
Asus A7M266
W2K
Geforce 2Pro, 64Mb DDR

and I get a lousy 1771 in 3Dmark2001 :eek: WTF!!!?!?!

I currently use detonator 12.41 and DirectX 8.0a
How can I boost my system???
