What mouse sensitivity do you use for INF?

Well I'm curious because a lot of Counter-Strike players I know use sensitivities under 10 /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
I use 17 for INF and CS and 30 for q3a

There's a big difference between Macs and PCs too, I run my sensitivity at 12 on my PC, but 8 on my Mac and they feel close to the same..

i use 18 on a PC. One of my favourite evil things to do when i notice somebody using low sensitivity is to ambush him with the knife, circle strafe in one direction while stabbing and slashing. All the while laughing at the poor low sense player as he struggles with his mouse trying to target me.

This of course dun work too well with the more experienced players but it is challenging nonetheless - the only reason i play CS nowadays it to kill people with a knife.

Well, look at the people with higher sensitivities and you will see that they move their mouse very little when they play. I suppose dragging your mouse until it hits the keyboard, then lifting it up and dragging it again is part of normal play for you?

Low sensitivities allow you to do certain things that you'll never manage at those above 13.

One of them is wrist flicking. when I move my hand, I already know how far I'm going to turn.

I've been been using the mouse ever since quake. I started at sensitivity 13, then went to 40 then 75, 100, 46, 13 before going back to 7 and finally 8.

Thus far, the only people who can consistently defeat me have a sensitivity of no more than 13.

Sneaking up on me with a knife is a good way to get shot in the head;) Of the 3 dozen times Galladin has tried this, he'll confirm that he's only succeeded once.

hehe I have since given up trying to do that although something interesting happened with a knife today in cs...
We were playing the first round in aztec when I came across these 3 fellas. 1 started shooting me, the other rushed me with a knife and the 3rd ran off thinking that his 2 comrades could deal with me. I killed the first guy but emptied my USP. Much to my surprise, the second guy ran right past me hacking and slashing away at a crate. I whipped out my own knife and let him have it /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Well...

I don't remember what number I use in Inf, but in almost all FPS, I set the mouse sensitivity so that I can do two-and-a-half to three full turns by moving the mouse from one side of a standard-sized mousepad to the other. Any lower than that is too slow to react, and any higher makes it too hard for me to aim well. 2.5-3 turns just feels right to me... /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Anybody else notice that UT sensitivity is slightly higher than quake engine based games?

Shakken? I know exactly how far my cursor is going to move when i move my mouse. I dont need to flick my wrist, just wiggle it a little and i do a 180. If i need precision, all i do i grip the mouse a little less and move a little less.

And in the end, its not the sensitivity, its the skill. I do admit that I'm not all that L337.
