The CS-problem.

As counter-strike gained lots of PR in the gaming community, lots and lots of people started to play it. The arcade feeling of the game speaks to almost all kinds of people (I've started to convert to Infestation as CS unrealistic gameplay gets more and more horrible)and as some of you may know, the majority of the "whole crowd" consists of stupid and immature people.
It's not hard to find a PUB server where there are people that call each other stupid things (in a very negative way, not a friendly)and scream things like "AIMBOT", "WALLHACK" every time someone kills them with skill. I do just not feel comfortable being in that kind of enviorment.
I have a tendency to read the vibes in a situation pretty quick and because of that feel bad when playing against negative idiots.
And now the point of this post, I really really hope that this wont happen to Infiltration as it gains popularity. I hope that the mature concept will scare the bad gamer-crowd.
I've played CS since BETA 1 and I have not enjoyed the transformation.
It has evolved into something terrible, unrealistic gameplay, a unrealistic weapons arsenal and so on, so it's not only the people that play it that is the problem. Please do not let this happen to Infiltration. I know that you wont destroy the gameplay and realism, but it's the crowd that will follow it that im worried about. Anyone else that have played CS and that can understand what I mean?
I'll end this topic with thanking the INF team for being a great team made out of good people that know what they are doing.

Oh I know what your talking about! but honnestly, I don't dislike the "semi-real" feeling that CS gives... When I play CS, I don't really look for the same things as when I play INF.

On the players side, I have to say that you are completly right about this! On many servers, im among the few who plays with some tactics and me and my clan have been more than once accused of cheating...

I dont know about you, but I dont consider teamwork and oranization cheating!

Still, CS is interesting its way.

You shouldn't even need to point that out.
Just like when people scream "CAMPAR!!!"
when your'e a terrorist and guard the hostageroom. Frustrates me so bad that a lot of the cs-players have misunderstood the whole concept and idea behind the mod. And Gooseman(idiot) haven't really tryed to change that.
If INF gains popularity in Sweden I'll convert over to INF totally. I'm glad that INF exists. A little comforting after a CS-session on a pubserver.. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That is why I quit playing CS too... too many TK'rs and people accusing anyone who has skill a cheater.

Oh and rest assured INF won't get like that. You will never....................never...never see more than 10 INF players online at once. hehe

The INF community seems to consist of analog modem users in Timbuktu! Cuz I never see people online except for the SOB servers which are laggy and suck.. and even still they are never full..

What universe do you live in LEthal?

SOB is almost always full, and many people have pings on there that are 60-90 ms. The only lagsters are the dialups, like me. The thing about SOB, is that West coast server is now messed up, the skins and walking are screwed or somthing, and the Central is the same, and there is one private,

So whaT I Am trying to say, that as of now, Only one SOB server is playable, and it is very full, very often.

I just don't like going on there anymore because of this one Jerk who always hassles me, his name is PRIMO or something. HE likes to call me "Turd boy". I think he is an idiot and this GPK guy, who is a great player, always stands up for him. Oh well, INF servers and players are still jerks too! well, one can spoil it all.

I just hate this monopoly SOB has on INF serving. There are people there I hate and I always get put down because they band up against me because I am not as much as a regular as I used to be.

so, SG SERVERS! You are my savior...(whatever Happened to Mathias? That was my favorite server)

It's good to be wanted :)

I hope that we can live up to your expectations. One thing I can say about the 2.75 servers we were running before is that we had a great group of people on them. Folks like Strad, Gunslinger and many others made it a good time. The fact that my team members and myself did not have much of a life helped to keep things friendly, since we were there to moderate quite a bit. We had very few people that caused problems. Those that did were banned from all the servers and the web site...and continue to be. We will make the same practice of being strict this time around.

I hope we can create the same type of servers this time around.

I still like CS on a rainy day

Well beings that 2.8 doesn't have network code yet and I do like playing against my fellow humans, I do go for CS once in a while. But I only play on 3 select servers. I won't just jump into a match and watch 13 year olds cry when I get a nice headshot. Another thing is that headshots with 7.1 are too common. But aside from that when I play with my little group its fun. There is alot of skill and people compliment a good kill rather then whore about it not being fair.
