Shooting while in prone (<- I think it's still up to date!) Please anyone from the team read this

It seems that you are not able to shoot while crouching. It's more or less ok that you can't shoot and crouch, as it would be very difficult in reality. But i think the soldier should just stop crouching and shoot when you press the fire button. Most often it is more important to be able to shoot immediately than to go on crouching.

Not sure what you mean but in later versions of Inf, you'll more accurate when you crouch and go prone than when standing up.

It's a wise person who knows the difference between free speech and cheap talk.

No, Galaddin, i talk about shooting while crouching. While moving, not while lying still. It seems not to be possible. You have to stop crouching before you can shoot. I would prefer if the soldier would stop crouching automatically if you hit the fire button.

I assume you mean shooting while prone and moving? OK, do this...

1. Get a paintball gun
2. Set up 2 cans in your back yard away from each other
3. Lay down with your gun aimed at the first can
4. Without moving, shoot the first can.

5. Now aim at the second can
6. Start crawling towards the can and take some shots at it

7. Tell me which one was easier to hit

I suppose you could have it so it is possible to shoot while moving prone. It should just be very inaccurate as both of your arms are moving. Is it even possible? Your arms are pushing all of your body weight so how would you even have your left hand on the gun? Maybe accuracy could be gun specific. It would be easier to shoot the DE while moving prone than it would be to shoot the M16.

i think he's refering more to shooting during the transition from a standing position to a crouching one.

sorry, but it really suxx. I hate having to stop crawling to be able to shoot. I hit the trigger like a reflex, but i don't release the foreward button. :(
In addition you also aren't able to shoot if the enemy "moves" you. You survive some hits from a mp5 for example, but every hit pushes you back a little. It "moves" you. And while you are moving you can't shoot. So you can't defeat youreself if somebody shoots at you.
If you don't believe me try it in God mode. Yo can't shoot your m9 till the bot's whole mp5 mag is in your torso and he has to reload. That's really uncool!

To the shooting while moving prone, perhaps you could let us shoot but A)Make it less accurate, or B) make it stop us moving...

To the shooting while being shot at, I would like to be able to shoot, but of course your not going to be as accurate, I assume that getting shot also moves your screen around too? I would suggest leting us be able to shoot while getting shot at, but make it so we'd have a hard time hitting anything.

also you should be able to "lower"your gun when prone, effectively putting it aside a bit to get a better view

A few things to say here

I'll start with shooting in prone.
Use the "behindview 1" cheat and move around in prone. Notice that you use both of your arms to pull you along, so you couldn't possibly shoot forwards while moving. Stopping is the only option.

Secondly, shooting while being shot.
The way that inf is programmed is what is stopping you from shooting. It is programmed so that if you are in prone you have to be perfectly still to shoot (with the exception of the secondary fire with the knife and grenades). If you get shot inf detects that you are moving and does not let you shoot.
I hope that this is reprogrammed to allow you to shoot.

Fur, I agree with that. I think that when you start to move in prone your weapon should automatically be lowered.

Finally, killer, we are an international crowd, sometimes it is hard to understand what people mean. Just be patient and if needed rephrase what you said. You're not the first person to be misunderstood.

I just wish that shooting has a higher priority than moving! If you crawl and press the fire button you should just stop crawling and shoot instead!
