UT tech video

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. the technology shown in this video was amazing, especially the animation of the characters but also the ability to have huge, detailed maps......

one question though, is there any chance that these features (skeletal animation, huge maps e.t.c) will be incorporated into a future UT patch, or will they be implemented in other future games (e.g. Unreal 2 or UT2)

Wow, I went into the office (5 minutes from home) to watch the video on broadband. VERY impressive. Even more than the screenies. And they use motion capture for the animations. Cool.

Sorry to disapoint you, but this stuff will not be seen in UT. Epic added the option of skeletal animation to UT, but only for mods. Regular UT won't be changed, cos that would require to break the net compatibility and this will never happen, as Epic clearly stated.
