Q3A and Unreal maps in UT2004

Hi

could anyone tell me a few well made UT2004 clones of classic Q3A- and Unreal-maps.
I think I allways find the bad ones :)

Campgrounds from Quake 3 seems to be pretty popular... I know there's at least two versions (G1E and SC1 - though personally Slainchild's SC1 is the better of the two IMO. :))

As for Unreal maps, you won't find any... a handful of 2k4 remakes of UT maps though, and then of course, there's UTR, which I'm not shamelessly plugging, which aims to recreate all of UT.

Sure there are Unreal remakes: DM-Curse4 and DM-Deck17, but of course you already have them. I can't stand any version of either, but I think Deck does work a little better in 2k4.

There are also remakes of Ariza and Tundra around from Unreal. Ariza is a 2k3 map but it works in 2k4 and Tundra-Classic is a 2k4 map.

I remember someone linking me to a conversion of Q3tourney5 - Fatal instinct.
Well, not a total conversion really...

I think it was for UT2003 deatmatch, but I suppose it will work in ut2004 right?
I can't remember the exact name though :hmm:

Nah, dueling keeps is fine if there aren't more than 6 players. Incidentally, topic starter, you should probably check out the FlagPack.

Oh, it's called fatalinstinct...I wasn't sure.

Btw, "the very end of you'" has to be the crappiest q3 retail map.
Only fun you could possibly have on that map is loading 7 bots and watching them fall to their death over and over again.. well, it's fun for five minutes.

the listed Q3A-maps (incl. TheVeryEndOfYo) are pretty good, dm-mf-thelongestyard is better than DM-Q3DM17. The gameplay is not the same than in Q3A, but its not the same game, so what a surprise:-))

The Unreal-maps are not good, ariza and tundra are really no fun and Healpod seems to be a clone of the clone made for UT99, so with all the additional stairs and tunnels its just another map, nothing to do with the original (the green column, ok).

It's a shame noone has asked permission to convert this third party map to UT2004, I'm sure it would work!
