NEW Ut conversions of Unreal DM classics

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. I mentioned Dm-ArizaSkW a while back, but I am now releasing a complete conversion of the classic Unreal DM map DmHealPod. Dm-HealpodSkW along with other projects is now available for download from my UT clan site:

I know you can play all the Unreal 1's map by simply adding a line: path=c:\unreal\maps into UT's configure file.

I tried that and UT auomatically replaces the old minigun with the new minigun, 8ball with the rocketlauncher, etc. I know the UT bots doesn't work on Unreal's map though.

Anyways, wondering what is different about your download. Why do you need to "convert" them at all, unless you added/changed stuff in your version.

My problem with custom maps is that, no matter how well done they are, it is hard to find a server running them, and with people playing them.

UT bots do work in Unreal maps.

"Convert" - yeah, actually change. Healpod has had a major revamp as has ariza. Look at the site /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif

Hey BadAss, I tried that and it didn't work. I ended up copying all the maps into the UT directory, the DM maps work but the SP maps don't. When you start a SP game it works correctly until the level ends. When you think it's loading the next level it loads the same level but as DM with bots. Arrrgh! I know it can be done. Do you know of a site that explains how to get SP working properly? Thanks alot.

Sounds cool, but have you modified the bot paths, in unreal they never went for the shield belt in heal pod, that was annoying.Deffinitely one of my fav maps /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif
