My left nostril can accept a full dollar in U.S. quarters. My right nostril, on the other hand, reaches maximum occupancy at 75 cents. Coincidentally, $1.75 is the exact amount needed to wash and dry one load of laundry at the laundromat.

Hmmm, I had my ethmoïd sinus removed and my sphenoïd sinus trepaned following a diving accident some years ago. The surgeon told me the drill was 15 cm inside my head. On my last check-up at the ORL, he stuffed some long and lighted instrument inside, I didn't found it pleasant at all and I don't know where is the pleasure to do that (and to take the risk to wound the olfactive sensors in doing so).

Who said anything about pleasure? its just a great party trick, and compleately safe if done properly...which is why you you shouldent go try it, unless you know what youre doing you can really hurt youreself, but you can actually do it compleately without feeling itchy (sneesing with a nail in youre nose is NOT healthy), you just have to build up a tollerance.

I learned it from an old Fakir, along with some other fun stuff like walking on glass, breathing fire (you can kill youreself with that, DONT try it, drowning in youre own blood is NOT the way you want to die), burning skin, piercing skin and ofcourse sticking a long pin trough one cheek and out the other :)

It takes a high tollerance of pain, knowhow and ofcourse practice.

Anyway you still have the risk to damage your olfactive sensors in doing so. Even if you think you're doing it well (I had to sign a paper before my operation that I wouldn't sue the surgeon if I lost my smell and some others things - I'm talking about high precision surgery with appropriate tools and the risk still exist). I'm not gonna lose my smell just to show some peeps some funny trick. You should consider this each time you try your stuff.

I suppose I can do the nail thing much more than a fakir since I had all removed (the sphenoïd is a sinus located behind the eye with a capillaries conducts).

Well, the nail will only go as far as the other end of youre skull, so unless you have an insanely large head, you will have an easier job of it, but you wont outdo them :D

And surgery, cutting stuff out and otherwise, is not the same as just putting something in there, as said, you can hurt youreself if you dont know what youre dealing with, but what im doing is very safe and thought out.
