ARRRG! can't live with 640 by 480 Res!!!!

When windows 98 starts,the resolution is 640 by 480.
I want my ol' higher resolution back! :(
I tried everything!Restarting comp several times,bumping my head to the monitor.The display dialogue locks to 640 by 480 :(
My comp just seems to can't get to
a higher resolution at all!:(
Is there anyway at all to fix this problem????????
Plz Help :(

What videocard do you have?
This sounds like you don't have the right drivers installed.
If you miss the drivers, Windows will use standard vga at a resolution of 640x480

HAHA I fixed it!
IT was my monitor all this time.
It wasn't connected properly,and I almost tried to kill my self
because I can't live with 640 by 480.:)
And Swedix,even though your advice didn't help I find you very helpful :D

Glad you sorted it out. 640x480 really look ugly.
