    How does it work with the engine as it sees into zones?

    If the engine can "see" into any part of a zone then it can see all the meshes and etc. in that zone, is that correct?

    Unless they are blocked by an antiportal.

    It also takes the player's frustrum into account. Otherwise you're correct.
