Looks like it uses a starter motor to spin up a magnetic torque converter. Sure it has torque, but the Horse Power is prolly next to nil.

I think they must have to achieve a set RPM to be self powering. He said once it's running they can throttle up and down with it. They must be mechanically manipulating magnets in the jacket or possibly inside the armature to very the timing (or pulling force) on the output shaft or something. It sounds very interesting.
