XMP-Pool

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. I was just curious if XMP-Pool is any different from XMP-GFP-Pool. At least I think it was originally in the German Forum Pack. I'm still on dialup (shutup!) and 3 times now on NoBull I've gotten within 1% or 2% of having the whole XMP-Pool map when the match ends or the dl times out or whatever. :mad:

If I can just rename the GFP version that would be great. Otherwise, I suppose I can try again next time I'm on NoBull. Or is there somewhere I can dl the map from?

Just gotta love having 3 different versions of the same map. I checked my 'maps' folder at home last night. There's XMP-GDC-Pool, XMP-GFP-Pool, and the one I don't have:XMP-Pool. I'm sure each one is a huge improvement over the earlier version.

I think I actually had XMP-Pool at one time, in my 'cache' folder, but somehow that folder got cleared about 3wks ago. That sucked, because I also had all the different RGB maps and some other stuff in there, which now all need to be dled again.

Look for a cache cleaner. It takes all the files in the Cache folder and puts it where it is supposed to be. So that way you have that happen again. OR you can go into your INI and change how long you want to keep cache for. Default is 30 days. I upped mine to 60, and did a clean cache thingy.

I'll put together some packs of maps for download on the NoBull site. And the reason we're not using the "other" pool is that a couple of the GFP maps and the server's don't get along. :con:

Jackal - Ya know, I'd had maps in that folder for a good couple of months or more, then bam! I'll have to check my ini.

Jem - I appreciate the chance to dl outside the game, and the explanation for your map selection.

I was on NoBull server last night, and the game finally went long enough for me to dl Pool. Yay! One problem though: Artidozen is still in the rotation. Damned giant-room-connection-raping, raptor-whoring, non-functioning-mortarcannon map. ;)

Why not?

Let's the community have a say in the map rotation. What's bad about that? Besides the fact that only Machetti, Fleury and Serk were up to the task, lol.

It'll only work if ppl volunteer. *hint *hint
