hi all! searched for a thread but couldnt find one so sorry if this has already been posted.. anyways i got UT3 today for my xbox and i LOVE it i used to play 2004 on my pc years ago but the pc i got now cant really run games well. I've picked up the game pretty quick for a noobie as im used to UT anyways now the UT3 community on 360 isnt exactly big, which i dont get, i know it dosn't have player created content like pc or ps3, but its still a good blast omg i was so happy when i saw that torlan was on there, my favorite map from 04

anyways yeah any good UT3 players on live hit me up my gamer tag is: pooert

pooert: don't let a few idiots bother you. Just roll your eyes and I'm sure some of the 360 players will show up, though I gotta admit I'll be surprised if there's many. It's a niche within a niche and all.

You'd be surprised waffnuffly, i manged to find a few good games on live. Most of the players were either from US or UK, what annoys me is that NOONE uses mics, and no1 seems to play torlan much either. When i look on my recent players list theres at least 20 players who show up so at least UT3 isn't completely dead on live haha, most people dont accept my invites when i invite them to be my friend tho :-\ but i got a few people to accept friend request. I think people who work for midway play as well because one player on my list is called "midwayUT3Easto5".. or maybe he doesn't actually play he just watches the servers?

anyways i think i should be ok finding games on live even if some of the players are complete noobs and have no idea what theyre doing

the way someone made out on another forum, i thought no one would be playing UT3 because he said the community was completely dead, but i can find more games going on UT3 then i can on conker live and reloaded (another game i play on live) and i can get at least 2 or 3 good games going on conker over xbox live so UT3 cant be that dead :tup:

I picked up UT3 for the 360 today, and it's kind of disappointing to see such a limited server population. It is a fun game, but I guess it's lack of publicity hindered it's popularity as a 360 title, not to mention a few other issues. Oh well. At least I know there are still some people playing.

where are you from? im in england and i find the best time to find a good game is from 7pm onwards. The other day i had a really good game, someone on my friends list was playing and i joined in, about 12 players. No bots atall, and all the players were in a party which was even better because we could all talk to each other but mics dont work on the UT game so if you want to chat you have to go in a party.

When you cant find any decent MP games, improve you're skills on the SP. I only just got the game and at first i was disappointed but theres actually a really nice community who are fun to play with, you just gotta look for the games at the right time.

Good to see new UT3 players for the xbox poping up! The community isn't dead by a long shot, some of us just are not around as much for different reasons, so don't give up if things seem slow. Keep checking back and I guarantee you will find myself, and several of my friends still playing this game more than any other.

Just keep an eye out for myself, Kesire, BenWa, xRoBoLoGyx, Savage x32, Unreal III, deth36, Executor, woody 1 and several others will be found in the same room, and in the same party. That's usually why you don't hear anyone using a mic, not becaue we don't. You do that and you guys will find a good game! You can also send me a friend request if you like, our community on the xbox is pretty tight, we happily accept all newcomers! The only thing we ask is that you finish the match, please do not quit early, that is the only thing we hate. We all have bad days, and we all have lag from time to time, so eventually we all will lose a match, but we also finish what we start. That being said, "Welcome!" I look forward to seeing some new faces. (things have slowed down a bit, but they are not dead! ;-)

P.S. you will usually find us on an East server, that is where most of us get our best connection.

Sorry to necrobump this, but I also play on the 360. I have it on my laptop as well, but it can't handle it all too well (I need to play around with the settings).

Anyways, my gamertag is the same, so if/when you send my a FR, just tell me who you are...that's all I ask. Generally I stick to DM in the ExcessiveUT server. I'm also usually on after midnight eastern. Hope to see you guys on there.
