I was watching a show on T.V. this morning, and they were talking about some feminist organization that was trying to force the US Navy to integrate women onto their sumbarines. Both sides brought up good points, but I was wondering what everybodies opinion on this is? Personally, I don't think putting 100 young men together with 50 young women in cramped quarters for 6 months at a time to be a good idea.

Maybe they should do as the Old Soviets did; have ALL women submarines. Of course, the problem is, first you'd need to give them training and experience on current submarines. But if you have a high (25+) percentage of women on board, then there would likely be less sexism because of the higher numbers.

Also education could help prevent any 'ugly' situations

Are there any women who wants to be in a sub full of men in the first place? I often get the impression that feminists argue for things that the women themselves would rather be without.

2:1

how about a 2:1 ratio of women to men? heheh

I think that whether women should be on subs depend on the logistics and the women in question. I dont see why they would want to be cramped into a sub for a 6 month stretch at a time.

I share Devon's impression too:

By the way, do we have any women forum members?

Shit Happens... and with great regularity too. We just have to deal with it one turd at a time.

Woman Officer: "No! Sir, thats not it!"
Captain: "dear god! We're saved...!"
Woman Officer: "Its much worse than that!"
Captain: "What could be...?"
Woman Officer: "Jenny has PMS and I'm out of pads!"
Captain: "Dear lord! ABANDON SHIP!! ALL HANDS! ABANDON SHIP!!!"

First we fill women with semen, now we want women AS seamen? Those long, thick vessels are getting weird fantasies in their heads. Everybody knows chicks on ships are bad luck.
