Just a suggestion, instead of having three versions of the MP5, why not throw in another assault rifle? How about the SA-80 or why not the AUG-1. I know that new weapons ideas are disregarded, but seriously, three MP5´s? I think you could use another assault rifle instea of just another sub-machine gun.. What do you think?

Okay, now do exactly what I say.
Take a 9mm and shoot in your right foot
Take a cal.40 and shoot in your left foot.
See the difference? /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
They are not the same. different chambered
The SMGII won't make it into INF

Yes, they all have distinct differences, and if they are gonna take any more weapons out the Desert Eagle needs to go first.

Navy- standard MP5
PDW- standard + more compact, higher rate of fire, more recoil
.40- standard + more powerful round, more recoil

Leave my MP5's alone!

Hey, don't even mention removing anything related to the MP5. I could not survive without them. I would have to load DM-TwinBridges and jump off into the polluted water to my death. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

2 Kalashnikov variants???? where?
I just saw the 7.62 Krinkov..
Besides I think the team already took out the SMGII(which I think is correct..), but the other HK MPs should stay.
Not only have they slight differences, their emphasis is on other points.

The PDW is some kind of Pistol/SMG mix - suited well, when you like low weight with better firepower than a pistol. I think it could be quite some kind of sec weap for a sniper.

The MP5/40 is just awesome IMO. It was the MP I uses in RS, when silencers were essential - if sound didn't matter a M4 was my choice..

The MP5 Navy is a classic - the 9mm SMG that made HK famous(at least the type of 9mm SMGs). Leaving it would mean the same like getting rid of the PSG or the M16. They are just that widespread in military use, that ignoring them was kinda mad.

So leave the SMGII, leave the DE, if you like you can even leave one of the shotguns, but neitehr of the three HK SMGs!

I wonder why everyone is so anti-DE... I mean, I wanted to see the SIG-551 (or Krinkov or the Mini-Uzi) in INF 2.8, but I certainly want to see the DE in the game too. I'm just hoping they make it realistic. It's not a gun that any military force uses, but it is certainly a weapon that a bodyguard/terrorist could use. It's crappy when compared to the more elegant pistols, so don't use it. Let the newbies use it and fill them with 5.7mm bullets from your Five-Seven...

"but it is certainly a weapon that a bodyguard/terrorist could use" You hope! NO one in his right mind would EVER use this as a combat gun. EXPECIALLY NOT a bodyguard who needs to carry a concealed weapon. (And no amount of advertizing is going to convince a person that this gun can be hidden under a sports coat).

this is what I know

I am a deer hunter and if there is 1 thing that I know it is that you DO NOT use use low caliber weapons like a .223. The smaller bullets do very little damage and create the risk of a lost and wounded animal. The recoil of something like 50 AE may suck for a handgun, but I pretty much guarantee that anything hit with a 1/2" hollow point ain't getting back up today.

Bigger does not always mean better. 5.56's do not do "very little damage", they do a surprising amount for their size. Go to http://www.fen.baynet.de/norbert.arnoldi/army/wound.html to learn more.

.223's are not common in large game hunting because outside of 200 yards are so they aren't even meant to kill, they are meant to incapacitate (humans, which are alot easier to incapacitate than deer), so that the enemy must use a few other soldiers to carry the wounded one off the battlefield. Hunters don't want to make their game suffer, so they take guns that fire larger, heavier bullets like .308's, that don't tumble or break up as quickly as .223's, so that they'll have enough penetration even at long range to definately do plenty of damage to the vitals and get a relatively quick kill. (And, here in Arizona I know there's a very good possibility of enough lack of trees to take shots well beyond a .223's effective range.)
