Why can't I summon vehicles in DM maps?

When I enter the summon code the game works for a second as if it were to spawn something but then nothing spawns.

Is there some sort of vehicle unlocked or vehicles allowed mutator? I tried googling and searching here but to no avail

DM, CTF, BR and DDOM have vehicles disabled. You can only summon them in Assault, Onslaught, Vehicle CTF or in mods like VDOM, Vehucular Homocide and Vehicular Genocide (VDM and VTDM).

Plus for the gametypes that do have vehicles disabled, there's no room on the maps for them to spawn in let alone drive through.

Anyone remember playing around with Bulldogs in UT2003?

I didn't even try to summon them 6 Karma vehicles = memory eaten. But on the VehicleTest map it was fun. Bots don't know how to use the vehicles

And it only fired straight upward, making getting a kill with its weapon... interesting.

Bulldogs were awesome, too bad, they don't work for UT2004, and they had homing rockets actually.

... Vehucular Homocide and Vehicular Genocide (VDM and VTDM).

Yea, Bulldogs have homing missiles. Easy kills. Actually, why won't they work? I'm sure someone made Bulldogs working in UT2004.

XS Vehicles or VehicleStuff or whatever brought me a working Bulldog.

even if there was, you'd want to have a massive dm map for them to be worthwhile...

Could be interesting though, if there isn't such a mutator someone should make it, I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult compared to some of the other mutators around I've seen

DM(VDM)-NakhtiAscension has some kind of a "cube map" level that allows vehicles.

Yeah, there is a mutator somewhere which allows you to summon vehicles in any gametype and any map. I lost it though.
