Which is a better game engine overall the unreal engine 3 or the id tech 5?

Which is the best for making games?
I think id tech 5. i simply would compare 2 games really,medal of honor airborne uses unreal 3, and doom 3 of course uses id tech 5. I prefer doom's graphics but maybe its just lighting effects. i like idt5 better though.
What you other guys say about it?

Well, with the release of the UDK you can create complete games for free. And UE3 is not that hard. I never did any mapping/modding for IdTech so I don't know how it compares.

Doom 3 uses Tech 4, not 5. UE3 is older and has proved itself. On the other side Id Tech5 isn't even out yet nor are the tools avalible so I don't think we can compare those engines right now.
