Yea we were down there right before Gustav, too bad we did'nt take more stuff with us.
The House we paid like 12,000 for, from a freind about 6 years ago, but we spent probably around 8,000 in addons, not to mention 6 tvs, boat, 4 beds, icebox, washer, dryer, ect... No it wasnt insured, insurance is like wayyy too expensive. Kinda wish it was insured now, but it cost around 2-5 grand a year to fully insure a beach house, If you can find an agent that will take the risk. Anyway we only used it for vacations, and holidays, so I still have a place to call home:)

Holy heck, $12,000? Here, that won't get you even a quart of curdled fart juice. I hope you get where you want to get. Thinking of relocating, and have you ever lived outside of Texas?

I've been looking for a lake front vacation place and you have to go pretty far north to get a place for three times that! :eek:
I would have thought ocean front would be even worse. But then again, we don't have any hurricanes rolling through either.

Maybe Q's crate will work out for you?!

Yea, Houses and land are expensive down there, about 60,000 to millions. But like I said, we bought it from a freind, they just got tired of the upkeep. Funny thing is, I was in process of buying the house next door to it...Whew that was close!!!
The wife left this morning to check out the place, inlaws went yesterday, said that you clould see the upper part of our house out in the bay. :(
