1.) Rage Against the Machine
2.) Limp Bizkit (I know, that's kind of sad)
3.) Korn
4.) Guns n Roses

I'm tired. That's all I can really think of, group wise.

No top ten for me, just three bands:

1. The Cult
2. The Mission (detect a pattern here?)
3. Guns 'n Roses

My sig is basically a quote from a Cult CD sleeve.

Okay, the first person to say anything about this is getting a fucking boot to the head, but I love classical too. I'm especially partial to Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries.

and don't forget Paganinni. Especialy his 24 caprices (performed by Itzhak Perlman on violin, or John Williams on guitar. I think there were some duets for violin and guitar they did together too)

plus we can't overlook the modern composers, Stravinski and Mussorgsky (who's name I probably butchered). "The Firebird" would actualy be fun to frag to /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I also like Gershwin, but only on solo piano. I don't care for Gershwin with a full orchestra.

wait a minute, I remember a better performance of Paganinni's caprices; the one by Shlomo Mintz

I didn't mention classical because the question was who are your favorite bands, not what's your favorite music.

Geez, I also forgot all the jazz I dig too. I'll save it for another thread.

Another classical aficionado

I play both the violin & the piano, so I guess I could pass for a band myself. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

My favorites are the baroque and classical composers, e.g. Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, etc. I'm especially in awe of Mozart. Some of the passages he wrote in various works reach a level of perfection that defies comprehension. At least to my mind...

In the pop music realm, I tend to like single acts mostly. I like Billy Joel, Elton John, Bette Midler, and a number of others. And I happen to absolutely love Meat Loaf! /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
