What needs fixing in Poseidon?

    Well the arena has really bumpy terrain, i occasionally get stuck in it and it kinda sucks.

    there are some other minute things that ill remember in a minute.

    I never saw any collision bugs in the arena......
    Ow **** I hardly get there since IF I get locked up
    the match takesw too short to start an arena fight (as in every map)

    actually, I'm taking a look at it now & I have no damn idea how to fix the skybox!

    Did you try panning and rezizing the texture?
    Uhhm I see It.... Sorry dude you deed to completle change it.

    Yeah. The problem is that those textures are set to pan, not wrap.
    I expect there's a known workaraound, just haven't found it yet.

    Uhm the ceiling texture is being annoying
    It does not seem to align well with any of the other textures, A little fog maybe?

    Ok this is what I have four minutes after jumping into the editor and looking at the skybox. Please don't kill me Im only trying to help!!!!;)

    But the darn ceiling texture is starting to be a real annoying thing.

    Message to anyone who wants to use these textures in the future skyboxes
    The Ideal zize of a skybox with these textures is not 1024x1024x1042
    but 946 high x 1024 Broad X 1024 Wide.

    Ok I guess this was what you were aiming at!
    Looks ok You really have chosen the right textures to enhance it's underwater feeling.

    ----Edit-----

    here is something that could be a bug
    in the new pic you'll se a part of the arena with sharp edges that can get you stuck. I also found the bug on the bridges was becouse of the projectors and not the mesh.

    @Hazel there was fog in there already but I'm vieuwing from further away than the skyzone info, Trom that point itself the fog is not visible.

    A couple of minor things:

    Are you still having trouble with the skybox? I managed to fix it by using Alignment > Default then the texture pan tool. @ Vatcilli: If you use fog in the skybox it will show up the corners of the cube :(

    I'll keep looking ;)

    - Setting the Projectors on in the Settings menu most of the map looks like a green paradise... (Yes, it's my sh*tty card again!!!) :D
    - I think the layout needs to be scaled up a little.
    I am giving it a look and coming back later with some nitpicking... ;)

    - I had been a lot of time without playing this one. Perhaps is because I have a new card patch, but only 1 staticmesh looks greenish... :)
    - Yep, definitely the map needs to be scaled up about +25%. I feel everything too narrow and I often get stuck with the decoration on the walls. You also have a big probability to get suicided when fighting beside a teammate in such narrow passages... :lol:
    - Blockingvolumes will help a lot avoiding players to get stuck. ;)
    - I think the placement needs a few changes... :rolleyes:
    - Make the execution faster. Everyone is just waiting for the lightning during a few seconds... :eek:
    - Pictures explain what it's said above and give some new ideas:

    Yes :) People will always find ways to get under terrain, behind meshes, into roof areas etc. so I find it's good to test any map with translocator.

    No... the first I think you can get to by jumping on the pipe.
    The second, just jump from near the exit from one of the jails.

    G.Lecter, about your blocking volume picture -- there are volumes on the inside curve already :)

    I've tried scaling it 125%. It feels too big! Plus, there are som moves that are no longer possible, eg jumping up to the smoke bridge to get the shield.

    I deliberately didn't put a pickup in the centre of the map because it acts as a botmagnet and you get a big fight right at the start of the match.

    I Just started my own UT 2004 map and Finshed it's skybox.
    (I'm sorry for posting this in your thread tarquin remove it if you want)
    I only posted it in this one becouse I'm not sure If I'll ever finish the map.

    You can increase the ExtraCost of the pickup/pathnodes pointing to it, right? Perhaps you can place the pickup there in that case.

    What you can also do is putting the max desirability lower (if that is still possible in 2k4 have not done much with pickups yet)

    I was going to try your way & then I found another way. See the mapping FAQ on the wiki, I've explained it there.
