Is it possible to convert the skeletal meshes of the in-game weapon models (like the shock rifle, for example) into static meshes?

Wanna increase performance on my map. Figured I could convert the skeletal meshes that I've got around the level which are just there for decoration anyway.

Okay, well... like I said, the only way I can think of would be to export them.
Since I guess your performance issues are the result of the lighting of skeletal meshes you should maybe try and play around with the Light Environment settings. Disable dynamic shadows and the like for the skeletal meshes and so on.

Yeah, that could work. They're casting shadows where the player can't see them anyway so I'll disable those and see. Thanks for the help :)
