Hello people. I need help with this weapon im modelling in maya. 1) because i prefer maya and 2) maya helped prodcue ice age which is the best film ive ever seen :D I want to make the animations and i know how to export to unreal but i dont know how to animate it and i dont know how to make it an actual pick up in unreal. Help please. :D

For animating I suggest you take a look at the begginner tutorials that come with Maya, look at the bouncing ball animation. When importing itno UT2003 though you have to have a rig setup, UT2003 doesnt support vertext animation as well as boned animation.

As for making a pickup that requires coding http://gamestudies.cdis.org/~jgiles/ is a good site for some begginer weapon coding.
