Hi, we are a bunch of guys who want to create a mod, we just started on this and wrote all our ideas in the form of a design document, but I'm afraid none of us are experienced enough to LEAD, and we are hoping that someone would join us and Lead the mod team and we prefer that person would be a coder him/herself (of course we are also looking for more modelers and concept artists).
The game premise is this; set 300 years after the apocalyptic war between demons and humans that nearly drove the human race to extinction, Earth is now.. Pretty much the same really -except there is no such thing as Nationalism anymore-, only this time the rich can do whatever they want, live in the nicest cities, start wars by hiring one of the many mercenary and PMC armies purely for entertainment value, so yes the world is still the same only nobody can bother the rich anymore.
The game takes place in a desert region, where 3 powerful factions share it equally and fairly; Pax Dei, formerly a medieval movement, said to be responsible for the end of war 300 years ago by making a pact with the demons to leave earth, the very next day all the demons disappeared, there is no evidence to back up their claims except that they are the only organization capable of summoning demons and enroll them in their armies (and yes they worship Satan).
HRX incorporated is one of the largest companies on the planet, hardly a product you can find out there that doesn't have HRX name or one of its divisions printed on it, from movies, TV shows, videos games, medical products, weapons and military hardware. HRX Military Service garnets swift end to your problems for the right price.
Outer Worlds is a major Import Export company according to their TV commercials, but nothing much else is known about them, whenever they move in to a town the place gets completely cutoff from the rest of the world.
The game name is Wanton! and it's about 4 girls who banded together by a common cause, formed a biker gang and set out on a journey of destruction, mayhem and violence throughout the region, searching for their own goals. Its a CO-OP story driven campaign for up to 4 players, you chose one of the 4 girls, each with their own unique special ability, weapons and Bike, battling and dodging the 3 major powers, the monstrous wildlife, going from town to town, helping people, making both allies and new enemies along the way, a post apocalyptic, road warrior like game with some western elements thrown in.
That's pretty much it, we want to make a fun co-op game with cool style and a good story that drives the experience, with each new levels there will be new challenges. The idea is big and there are lots of enemy and allies verities and classes, weapons, and vehicles, but we don't have a death wish, we hope to make a small portion of it and see if the idea works, who knows it could suck.
If you ask which game out there that would closely resemble this in anyway, then it would be Half Life 2 and Halo in game mechanic, and Bad Company in spirit.
