voice recognition bots vista

has anyone gotten voice bot commands to work in vista?
im unsure if it is a vista related issue.

ive reinstalled the game, ensured voice rec is enabled under game settings.
my mic works in other areas such as voice control an note pad etc.

when i press the 'f' key the game sound lowers and it returns to normal when i release the 'f' key but nothing seems to happen. i believe there is supposed to be bars on the left side of the screen? and that some text message is also supposed to be sent? (like with team chat?)

does anyone have any ideas?

I never got it to work myself, just order the bots through v. Plus the voice recognization is rather stupid, it recognizes only certain accent and you need to be really specific and say it in some order.

i remember reading that its quicker and more successful using keyboard commands.
its more of a if it doesn't work i need to fix it sorta thing - i think its inbuilt with me!

How do you keyboard command bots? Like, is there a way to tell a bot to exit a vehicle so you can take it? I get sick of the bots grabbing all the vehicles.

Only if you tell them to follow you or something stupid like that.

You command bots by pressing v and then using the scroll wheel of the mouse to navigate, with the middle button being the "enter" button. Alternatively you can use numbers to select an option.
