ViaVoice and Half-Life TF2

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. I've been told that ViaVoice is to be included with Team Fortress 2. I've only heard this from one person and was wondering if its really true.
That would be cool if it is. Giving orders by voice commands and actually talking to your human team mates during a game would add so much to the gameplay /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif

A few sound bytes from when I played on a LAN with my friends: (shouted back and forth between several rooms, all within earshot of the "enemy")

Finally we won't be killed when typing complex orders. We won't give our locations or strategies away shouting around the rooms like that. Will they have multiple frequencies for like, a team channel and an open channel?

I just hope people don't start using ViaVoice to jam the comm with meaningless chatter and repeated insults, like they do now.

Hey Wolf Blackstar, I know what you mean about the LAN thing. I play on a LAN once a month and there's nothing worse than getting your head blown apart 'cause the lads in the same room knew exactly what you were up to /~unreal/ubb/html/frown.gif

I was wondering though......would it be practicle for the internet....I mean lag is bad enough.
Plus it would get irritating if you were screaming commands at some poor sap who speaks Swaheli instead of English /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif
