No kidding. That's ultimately why I wandered off; hardly anything was happening anymore. That, and classes/work/RL stuff (it exists!) have been keeping me busy. I'm only about a year away from graduating (at long last) and have started working for a local game company. Which is actually what brings me back here. See, the biggest problem is that there is but one modeler, and he's stretched rather thin, and I remembered that there were some amazingly talanted people here. So, these people are willing to pay for models to be used in their game, on a contract basis. So, if anyone is interested, or knows anyone else who may be, let me know. I'll make sure that the checks are sent in a timely fashion, too.

Otherwise, classes, taking all my time. Learning C# and (project) management. Oh, and I'm addicted to World of Warcraft, still, and play Horde on Spinebreaker.

GAH! I typed out this nice long message, only to have it all get erased!

What I had said was that I've been horribly busy with classes, work, extracurriculars (helped put on a conference in fall!), and RL friends (which includes a damn cute girl I know). I'm finally getting close to the end of undergrad, in MIS, and should be out into the real world the start of spring '07. The current plan is to move to Chicago and start consulting work.

In the mean time, I'm helping out this game startup, doing the work with the level editor, accounting, and soon the website, which is a bit out of date currently. The only catch is that the level editor is horribly dependent on prefab models, to the point of using only them, and nothing generated inside the editor like UEd. Good news is, they're willing to pay for models. If anyone's interested, or you know of a person who is, I can make sure to apply appropriate pressure to make sure the checks get sent out in a decent timeframe. ;) The engine is the Reality Engine, which is amazingly good looking, especially when it comes to lighting. When games are finally released on this, they'll be mindblowing.

In other news, I'm learning C#.Net in class, puttering around with Linux outside of class, mostly the debian family, and have been hitting Pennsic the past couple of years. If I can afford the time and money, I'll go again this year. What time I have left between everything has been spent playing World of Warcraft as Horde on Spinebreaker. Umm, I think that about sums it up. :D

Think it's .x or .xml. The guy we have is using Maya, running the models from that through a UV thinger, then into the engine. I seem to have fallen behind in the technology. :hmm:

Nalicity OT has been on artificial life support for a long time now, imo. I left for a while too, (for unrelated reasons).
    But, like, so bored. >_<
